I have a new (to me) XT that I would like to upgrade slightly, not too much as I would get one of my old PCs out of storage if I wanted something faster etc.
It looks like this up front ...

and this inside ...
Spare and Tape.jpg
So as you can see I have a spare slot and a backup tape controller.
I'm thinking of putting a sound card (bought an 8 bit sound card CT(something) Rev 3, on EBay, on its way) in the spare slot and an SD card XTIDE Optima (on its way, I've seen the thread about it looking a bit dodgy, no decoupling caps, white solder resist etc, but I'll see how I get on, I can always solder some caps on the back) in the tape controller slot.

My question is this, is there anything useful to put in the tape slot (on the front), for example possibly a 3.5 floppy, did they do any that would look OK in the slot, or something else?
My other question is I popped a tantalum cap just to the back of the PC and it looks like it's got 3 legs, can you get hold of these anymore and what's the third leg for?

Thank you for your time if you look/respond to this :)
