Digital Group Phideck Rehab

So I'm stoked about beating the TVC 32 problem that had been dogging me for a year and now I want some Phideck action.

I've looked at the motherboard on my Basic Box and have confirmed it was never wired for Phideck. It's wired for something else involving audio, I think. I'm reluctant to mess with it, even though the cards are no longer there.

I have another motherboard Marty was kind enough to provide. On first blush, it looks like that board was wired correctly for Phideck. Sort of. I refer to Page 48 here of the Phideck card manual:

http://www.bytecollector.com/archive...-deck_card.pdf

I've counted pins and done resistance testing to confirm where wires connect between the slot a phideck card would go in and the IO slot. They all seem to match the diagram. Except -- if I'm reading the diagram properly, it shows a connection directly between pins 10 and J, for example (I think it's J.. not sure how DG's pin numbering/lettering system works). The board doesn't have that. Was it incomplete? Or am I misreading the diagram?
