Packing and shipping is a topic that generates a lot of posts. From horror stories about poor packing leading to destruction, through questions about how best to pack something, to discussions of cost and price.
I've typically kept my posts on the subject to the for sale forum (such as my thread about Greyhound shipping for example) but I feel that they're a poor fit.
Right now, I want to start a discussion on shipping keyboards. At one end of the scale, I have IBM Model Fs and Ms, at the other more recent Apple A1048s. The best method for one is not necessarily so for another and, in these days of dimensional weight, box size matters.
The thread doesn't have a clear home in any of the Genre fora, doesn't seem right for the for sale forum and doesn't seem appropriate for the off topic section because it's very germane to the trading that facilitates our hobby.
Other boards differ in how they address this. Audiokarma has a packing and shipping forum, whereas the Antique Radio Forums do not.
What do you think we should do?
